Didn't they build a safeway in chino, like off the 71? I could be wrong... I'm used to delivering to the dc in tracy. That and the two costco dc's here in cali, mira loma and tracy.

I don't think so, although it's been awhile since I've been over there. They used to have Safeways in SoCal and were actually pretty big (as far as qty of stores), but sometime in either the late 80s/early 90's, every one of them closed. At that time, I thought it was the whole chain. They also closed Alpha Beta (bought by Lucky's) and then Lucky's closed, Hughes and another big chain that wasn't around for long (Smith's maybe)...IIRC, this all happened around the time of the last big recession (1991).

I still miss Gemco. That store was awesome; especially for a kid that liked to look at the Atari 400/800 and Texas Instruments computers /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Fedco was similar, but they closed too. Amazing how many brands that are gone now.

It's the only thing that fits in the trunk besides tools.

IDK about that. mine hold lots and lots of beer, plus one under the hood too... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Theres plenty of room. Mine holds all of my "spare parts" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hmm - mine never worked very well as a grocery getter.
Everytime I put groceries in it - when I got home they were all dumped all over the place,

My car is out of grocery commission. There's very little room amongst the ratty clothes, towels, fluids, tool box, and fire extinguisher.

Here is my old grocery getter/junkyard hauler. Its an AWD Eagle Summit wagon with a 5 speed. Another car that I regret getting rid of. The back seat would actually come out pretty easy and then there was even more room.
