Here is a pic of one of my old vr4. Doesnt have a battery installed but atleast you can see where it goes. It uses one of the tabs on the tranny mount and one of the tabs where the other original air filter canister used to go click

Here's another question for you what battery is that for and does the battery stand up or does it lay on its side? A picture with a battery mounted in the car using the tray would be nice.

I used a 81R battery, which are commonly used on the miatas, fit pretty good, I had it upright not laying on its side. unfortunetly I dont have a pic with a battery installed on it, The only issue I had was that my hks BOV got in the way. You can kinda see the space issue in the picture.
