I have been installing a complete urthane bushing kit in the car. The back of the car is all together I am just finshing up the front now. I have a set of MOOG front ball joints but they fall right in like there too small am I missing something I looked up my Galant and a Eclipse same part number.... Part# K9617

I would really like to get this finshed up any ideas anyone came acrossed this? The origanl ones were nice a tight like they are spose to be

How loose? Floppy? My replacement balljoints where able tho be pushed in by hand, but they weren't floppy. They wouldn't even fall back out on their own, so I put the snap ring on and they are just fine 4 years+ later.

Check on Tooners, IIRC there were issues with mis-packaged or revisions that caused your exact problem.

The Moogs I got also were too small. I took them back to Autozone and got the duralast parts and they fit as they should.

They are even "greeseable".

I had the same problem few years back when I did the front ball joints on 1759. The first set I got were Moog and they were really loose in there. Then I got some Beck/Arnley and those were a much better fit.

This is a common problem to which I've seen many references. Sometimes you'll even come across a DSM or GVR-4 that's had the ball-joints welded in. Just keep trying different ones till you find some that actually fit.

+Beck/Arnley here. I used them and they're stellar pieces
