I'm trying to replace just the gromments on the carrier bearings and am not having much luck. Anyone have any ideas or can I solid mount the hangers with proper shimming to maintain proper u-joint angles?

How would I solid mount these if I could?

You cna solid mount them like you said. The grommets are to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, harshness)

I'd immagine you'd make bushings similar to how you solid mount your shifter base. I think someone makes these already, but I have no idea who. Just recall hearing about it. Search around.

I found these at JNZ. I am not going to pay that much for something like that. Anyone know of anything similiar?

Tuner's Nation (Garfield Wright) carries them, too. I have them. I installed them the same time I installed my twin disc and rebuilt driveshaft, so I cannot give a fair review.

Thats cheap. I would spend the cash. I am also going to be looking into buying new Ujoints and new carrier bearings. Hopefully I can rebuild the entire driveshaft for under $300 including balancing

I got mine rebuilt and rebalanced, should have just bought the light weight one . was almost the same price

Yes, I do carry those. Don't forget to enter the board discount code GVR4ORG for the 5% discount when placing your orders. I've got plenty in-stock & can still ship today. I had these on sale for $35.99 for the longest while but that sale ended.

Undo the factory bolt, throw away the factory worn out & dilapidated rubber bushings, replace with new bushings. Done.

Oh wow I'm dumb. For some reason this whole time he wanted to solid mount the driveshaft in the actual carrier /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif I was looking at the pictures and was like WTF how does that work haha.

How did they fit? I bought a set when they first came out, just haven't put them in yet.
