Hello, I picked up 1025 about 3 weeks ago. When i first got it there was no boost until about 6000 rpms (manifold was cracked, bad gasket and 5 broken studs). I swapped in a 2g manifold and put on new studs and so forth. While the car was down I put on new spark plugs (bpr6es) with wires. After the turbo was back in I took it out and it will not go above 3000 rpms in any gear /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif. I have already checked the cat and it is fine. While the clutch is in I can rev the car to 4000 and drop it, I feel the torque that wasn't there before. But as soon as it hits 3000 rpms is just feels so slow. I have tried switching the old plugs and wires back in and it still doesn't make a difference. Before the turbo was off it ran fine. Also it is completely normal feeling up to 3000.

Any help or ideas would be great.
Thanks, Ian

I just checked the timing and it is definitely off. I'm going to adjust it tomorrow. The timing light is showing the tic mark below the tab on the engine guard. Does this mean I have to advance or retard the timing? I would adjust the CAS toward the firewall /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif? If you wouldn't mind explaining, how would the timing being off effect the car like that? And why didn't it effect it before I fixed the pre-turbo exhaust leaks? Sorry for all the questions /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

Thanks again for all the help,
Ian
