OK to start off i have searched and used google, but i can not find anything pertaining to my exact problem so some help would be greatly appreciated.

OK so i have a new clutch 6 puck unsprung , new fluid ,clutch pedal adjusted but everytime i go to "slam" 2nd
it revs out like i missed it until the rpms come down them i can get it into the gear no other gear but second does it and it did it before the new clutch aswell.

So iam curious if my hunch could is right, could it be the friction material on the syncro worn out or the hub and slider not pulling it into gear??? Under normal driving it is fine only grinds at rpms above 4800 and it doesnt grind when i try slamming it feels like it goes in but then just revs out?????

THanks for any and all info

^^ yep, sounds like a stuffed synchro.

Do you drag race it? If so, I would replace the input shaft and 1st gear with a DSM unit. They are much stronger than the vr4 1st gear.
