I've found that the gvr4's use a 90A alternator and that the 2g/1g use a 65A alternator....not sure if im correct?

is there a differene in weight between the 65a/90a?

can a gvr4 use a 1g alternator with out any problems?

Should be a 75A in the 1G's IIRC. I've used the 75A alternator with no ill effect, but things like ABS etc. were deleted- no fogs, things like that- so I can't honestly say it'll be fine on a stock car. If the car draws too much (over 75A) you'll cook the alternator in a hurry.

I have a 75a on my car. I havent ditched anything, for the most part. It worked fine when it was new, but I think its slowly on its way out. Its been puked on too many times.

No, There is no difference in weight at all. Besides that, if you are thinking of this because of weight, then you would never see a gain even if it weighed a little more.

The alternator's BTW, are the exact same between the 1G Auto AWD and the GVR4. The cases and internals are all identical.
