So my alternator belt snapped the other day on the way home. I pulled over and replaced it in a parking lot. When I got home I noticed my alternator pivot bolt was almost all the way out leaving the alternator crooked when I tightened the belt. It's been squealing really bad since and I've actually snapped a second belt since then. The tension is correct on both belts and I've not found anything that's come loose. I can take the belt ofd and it'll run fine for the first drive but when I let it cool down and start it back up it squeals again. Any idea on what the issue could be I can't seem to figure it out. No wobbly pulleys and nothing locked up. Is it possible that I Bent the alternator bracket?
