The 7g went through a overhaul on its suspension...new bushings, parts, subframes, etc

Here is the startup vid.

Shot a 2nd vid today..seems it wont idle on its own unless I push on the gas pedal. FIAV is eliminated but never had this issue before the car before it went down with idling and had the FIAV removed 2 years prior.

Well after I got the Gvr4 running again...I had to repair a massive coolant leak on our Montero and the A/C compressor for my house decided to take a dump too. Been staying at my bro in laws house till I got the compressor replaced on our a/c unit and fixed the Montero. Luckily had the weekend off so decided to put some work on the GVR4.

After I got it running the main issues I had was it wouldn't idle on its own and it had a misfire and wouldn't rev past 4k. I finally had some time to diagnose the issue and finally install the front bumper, my BoostX front lip and AMG corners and rewired the bulb sockets for dual filament turn and driving lights.

Now with the idle and misfire issue and not able to rev past 4k....well found out the black ground pin on the MAFt plug was not making full contact to the Galant harness plug. Once I pushed the pin in..the car ran better and it was attempting to try to idle on its own. After messing with the settings on the MAFt and adjusting the BISS and CAS timing I got the car to idle on its own constantly. It needs more fine tuning but for now at least its idling.

Got it idling..but before adjusting

Got it idling somewhat decent

very nice car! all around, just a beautiful ride.

please take the MAF-T and throw it in the trash... invest in V3, tune it on speed density with the 4 bar Omni sensor, and call it a day. you will be so happy you did! no more fighting with the damn MAF-T. the car will run a world better.

I am looking into upgrade to DSMlink V3 probably late next year. I would like to do a couple upgrades to the suspension first before going that route but its a definite modification in the near future.

Overall, it looks pretty good, but, where does the air filter go? Are you going to take it to the track? I don't see a battery cutoff switch, and some tech inspectors won't pass a box like that.

Not going to run a filter...just a screen. This isnt going to be a track car...just restoring it and a weekend car.

Looks real nice with those BBS wheels you picked up from DC_Style, I like them if only they were 4 lugs... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You're gonna need a lot more camber once you go to a wider tire. Those are good looking wheels though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
