  2. FS: 1993 headlight - SOLD

Hi: I have a really nice condition 93 headlight. This set probably has the least amount of chrome pitting I have ever seen. The brackets are also pretty much rust free. However, the passenger side headlight has one spot where the glass seems to be chipped on the INSIDE. From outside it is...

  8. Possibly another solution for driveline decel noise

I know a few folks here, notably CP and myself, have been looking for ways to fix the deceleration noise that plaques many DSMs and GVR4s alike.Last weekend, I adjusted my driveshaft angle with a magnetic angle-finder. Note that our driveshafts has 3 U-joints. When two sections of driveshaft...
  9. Finally fixed my coast-down rumble ( "wub wub" noise )

All it took was rebuilding my driveshaft ( new U-joints crosses, new carrier bearings ), replacing the stock transfer case with a 15K miles replacement, and installing a 60K miles 4-bolt rear diffThe t-case was the source of most of the drivetrain slack. Rear diff was a distant second...

  12. FREE mod: short-throw shifter

Simply drill and tap on the shift lever closer to the pivot point. I moved inwards by about 33% or so, resulting in 33% shorter throw back-and-forth in the cabin.I used "8mm X 1.25" which matches perfectly with the diameter of the stock pin.You will also need to make the rubber-stopper...
