    Well, the main failure is the steel supply line coming out of the sending unit assy. I'm going to drop the tank and see if it's salvageable, if it has no holes, a new paint job with some rust-bullet or similar. Or maybe find someone to do that epoxy coating... I can fabricate a new sender unit assy.

    I've been searching my ass off. Only car I can find that this RP2188 is listed for is a 1991 Galant GS 4G63 VIN R. I'm assuming a 2.0 non-turbo. I would sure think this would be the right rack for a VR4 w/out AWS! I might just have to be the guinea pig... I hate this!

    I'd say get the EuroExport one too. If you ever want to change springs, retainers, etc with the head still on, you can. The others require head removal, and that means a new 150.00 head gasket, and 100.00 head studs. Easy choice!

    The ecu pin 15 signal goes into IC101 pin 5 and there's a resistor silk screened on the ceramic substrate. It's a single resistor going right up to the 5 volt line on IC101, and it's probably the pull up, but if I cut/scrape the conductive material off that IC and it's not the right resistor...

    If you really want some piece of mind, replace the water pump, hydraulic tensioner, and all tensioner pulleys for the timing belt and the balance shaft belt. It will cost a bit more to do, but then you KNOW when they were all replaced too. And they will last thru your next 60K mile belt...
