Ok, I'm going for a descent street build here (~300 awhp) I have a short block that I am going to rebuild. Anyone know a good machine shop in the Denver metro area? What costs am I looking at for getting the block hot tanked and honed?

Call Andrew @ Heads by Drew. (303) 364-2904. He is a head guy, but he builds some pretty gnarly stuff. He can tell you who he would trust for bottom end work. He is definitely the guy to talk to when you're ready to do the head. Other than that, I'd wait and see if someone else chimes in.

The Block Shop in englewood. Hands down. I would say Blue Oval as well but they are by far the most expensive in town.

Colorado Auto Machine for cylinder heads.
