I've got a question about the long mouldings on the roof of our cars. Are they supposed to be colored black or body colored? I've seen some pics of white GVR4's with them painted black, but most of the other cars I've seen them are body colored. I've got a KG car and want it to stay as original as possible. The body guy working on my car says that the pieces on my car were black originally, but may have been sprayed body color when the car was painted or repainted in its past. Thanks.

The regular ones are body colored. The ones with the holes for the ski rack were black.

Additionally, it looks like they are probably black to begin with & body colored after the original coating.
Its my understanding that all car 91 & up in the US had body colored ones while 89-90 had black.

Hope this helps.

My 91 was body color (white) and was 1 long piece. My 92 was black and was set up for roof rack attachments.

So I agree with Jeff.
