Car looks great. A nice rust free example. Everything looks original, even the radiator. I would look in to replacing that soon for good measure. I don't remember if you did the water pump timing belt yet. I would do it at that time.

Thank you for your input, the timing belt was done, I did not do the water pump because, I found out the timing belt that was replaced was only 10 or 20 thousand miles old, the water pump was done at that time.

I am likely swapping in my fresh long block in february if all goes to plan, so the car will have a new engine with new everything on it anyway. I may do a radiator at that time also, been looking into scirocco style.

There is really no reason to go with such a radiator unless you are planning to remove AC and move the radiator to the condenser location in order to fit a really large turbo. If you have working AC, I would suggest you keep it.

I don't know if it works or not, haven't tried. I would do the scirocco radiator in order to put it where the condenser goes, yes. I don't plan to run a huge turbo though.

Then why do a Scirroco radiator? Just for the hell of it or for aesthetics? The stock radiator or a stock replacement works great. I can think of better ways to spend mod money, but it's your car... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Hell of it, free up some room. It's just an idea at this point, I got plenty of other things I am taking care of first. Your boyfriend G suggested I replace the stock one though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

G suggested replacing it because that upper plastic endtank is starting to look old. He didn't suggest a nonstock replacement. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hsdunno.gif

Get a koyo. Perfect fit. I can't imagine what that 22 year old radiator looks like on the inside. Has to be corroded, i'm surprised it doesn't leak yet.

Don't jinx it for me, G. The coolant is clean, there are no leaks, heat blows hot as hell and the coolant level is steady. Hoses are in good shape but I am going to replace them with a new radiator when it's time. I am guessing it is the original radiator, the rubber mounts are worn out. The car is exceptionally clean all around for a Japanese car made in 1991.

Where can I pick up a Koyo + new rubber mounts? Thanks

Thanks dude, you're very helpful. I got it bookmarked. could have found it myself but didn't know if there was someone in the community who sells them. I like to keep money in the community if possible over ebay.

Got the interior mostly detailed this morning, gotta finish up the door jambs and other things. I got all the jacked up wheel studs finally replaced, also.

Seats need some love in places but all around not bad. I am missing a few small interior pieces (passenger side kick panel, some hardware). Carpets were dyed black by previous owner.

No idea, it's motorized faceplate. I like it ok, but there's no aux input on the front which sucks.

Pretty awesome, found the original window sticker to the car in the owner's manual. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It is definitely an Alpine deck. Look on the faceplate for CDA-XXXX (model number). I'm pretty sure it is a CDA-7894. If so, you just need the MP3 adapter cord to plug in an Ipod or whatever.

Got my turboback installed today, thanks to my friends welding skills. Its a 1g exhaust, had a high flow cat welded on because I'm environmentally conscious /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Took some minor modification but was no hassle, sounds great and is not loud. Perfect.
