Never really tried my cruise control till the other day. The light comes on but there is no accel or decel on the stalk. Hit the clutch or brake and light goes off like its supposed to.
Any Ideas where I can start? Thanks Vinman

If the light stays on when you try to activate the cruise, your best bet is to try to check for error codes. You do it the same way as retrieving engine computer codes, by grounding pin #10, but the code blinks out on pin #5 instead.

I have the same issue. Bought it without cruise control working and figure it's gotta be something pretty simple. Light on the cluster and handle work, just doesn't actually hold the speed. So I rigged up the buzzer as mentioned in the links to check for codes. I grounded pin 10 and 12, and then connected a buzzer to 5 and 12. I'm not getting any reading at all...does that indicate that the ECU thinks the cruise control is working properly or did I miss read the instructions?

If there is no trouble codes, what are the next steps in trouble shooting this?
