I am looking for a motor to build and I ran into an Eclipse from 1990 that is getting parted out. Now I recall the 1990's were a bit odd in some ways. Was there anything strange about that motor, or is it a good core to rebuild?

The engine it self was the same. The only thing diferent were the throttlebody, the coils, the cas, and the p-transistor. Then you also have to change the water pipe because of the different oil cooler. The good thing is you get the 90 oilcooler.

Yes, as stated. The block is fine to use as well as the internals (if you want). The electrical is weird and so is the tranny.

The tranny is not as "beefy" inside so I would not use that.
