Logging with a PC instead of a Palm

Is there a similar program to MMCD but that works with a PC/laptop instead of a Palm? My brother's palm has started to malfunction and instead of getting another palm he would rather use his existing laptop for datalogging.

Any hints/suggestions guys?

Palm emulator for a pc is what you need. Runs all palm applications including mmcd.

 

I prefer TMO Logger for laptops, but you need a COM1-4 serial port:

BTW, I used it with TMO and windows xp.

The guy who does the DS-Map programming has 1g USB logger cable in the works, hopefully it's not too expensive. It will work with either the Palm emulator running mmcd or mmsd, or the internal logger for DS-Map.
