What is the best gear ratio Transmission for 4g63t?

im building a 4g63t. whats the most reliable tranny i can put on it?

Gear ratio and reliability aren't really connected.

EVO 3 gear set I would say is pretty strong. And would make it a closer ratio.

You can also do 91-92 1st and 2nd gears with 92-99 3/4 gears for a stronger unit. It just won't be a super close ratio like the EVO gear set.

Edit: correction the 1st and 2nd gear need to be 93-99 and 3/4 are 91-92. thank you donniekak

You have it backwards. The 93-99 2nd gear is used because it's a double synchro, and the small synchro 3-4 91-92 setup is used to prevent the large synchro 93-99 3-4 slider from exploding. All the major trans builders use this as their hd setup. You won't see a 3 hole 3-4 shift fork in any of the hd transmissions.

Ahh yes thank you for the correction. I just swapped gearsets from two transmission and transposed the years.
