Trying to ground idle

From a quick glance it appears to be mounted upside down. The port connector will unclip from its mount pretty easily.

Its mounted normally
Pin1 (upper left) = data out
Pin 12 (lower right) = GND
Pin 10 has to be shortened to GND for the engine ECU to enter diagnostics mode.
The other pins are for other systems/ECUs like ABS (IIRC Pin 9), ECS, A/C, A/T transmission...

the ground for the idle is the 3rd pin up on the right hand side. it is pin 10. the plug is normal.
