Tell me about clutchnet clutches, or a light pedal pressure clutch for 14b power

I ended up buying another centerforce.
I was very happy with that clutch, other than the center failing. And G will be defensive but it was an Exedy center, the same one that ACT and Exedy used in their kits at the time with the rubber springs. Hopefully the new disk doesn't have those, or they fixed it so the rubber doesn't disintegrate like mine did.
Bonus being that Amazon had one in stock and the free expedited shipping thingy they offer with .edu addresses is nice. Hopefully it shows up tomorrow.

I've been reading a bunch of clutch threads, and I'm pretty sure you don't understand how the clutch industry works.
There are basically 3 clutch companies on earth. They make parts for everyone else. Valeo, and Exedy being the top 2. Everyone buys the clutch cover and surface and makes their own springs and modifies other things. Everyone buys their disk centers and makes their own friction surface.
That's just the way it works, and it works well.
Well until Exedy makes some awful bogus disk center and ruins everyone's clutches. There are a few places that make their own centers, clutchnet being one of them.
the pressure plate is a standard part, there is no reason to ever design your own pressure plate. Centerforce just needs a pressure plate that has the right amount of force. The beauty of the centerforce is their unique disk, and by that I mean the friction surface.
It's almost a pucked kevlar disk on one side and a standard organic on the other. Makes it grab great once release but also allows it to slip well. Similar in approach to the people who use an OEM pressure plate and a 6 puck sprung clutch for good grabbing and light pedal.

Good as new, I cant' believe how much quieter the drivetrain got. I guess that disk was slapping around a ton of noise.
