2 things, did you properly burp the system of air? and when you say is "going to overheat" did it actually overheat or do you just think that its going to?

yes the head was resurfaced, and the hoses coming from the radiator are expanding dramatically (fat pig size) like they did before I removed the head (it caused the overheating). Their was no leak before, the water would just burn off.

It helps to quantify things. Metaphors don't get you very far when you have a problem that you would like help fixing, yet you keep not answering questions and using terms that can be interpreted many ways by different folks.

You would help yourself by going back to your other thread and answering the questions that Barnes is asking. He is really smart. You can learn a lot from him.

it was the thermostat. i wasn't running one and hence was not allowing enough time for the water to cool down.

good to hear that it wasn't the head !
The way you said the hoses inflated and pressure built instantly made me think something was still terribly wrong, heh

thanks man...I hope this helps people in the future. I guess that is a widely held misconception about the thermostat.

What's really really sad is everyone missed this in your original thread. After Hertz rightfully asked about your thermostat, you mentioned you removed it. Although I think people interpreted it as 'I removed it and checked it'.
