Is it just a regular brake line fitting from the front rack to the rear?

I thought they were 1/8" npt?

If you lived closer I'd offer some assistance.

All the line fittings on the PS system are 14 x 1.5 mm. Nothing is NPT.

I'm not sure I understand what the OP is asking to loop. Pressure side?

I think he was going to "loop" one of the outlets around to the other up front with a piece of brake line instead of them running to the rear?

What do the regular galants have? A rack w/o outlet ports for the rear steering?

Is it a male or a female port on the front PS rack?
Is it flared? 30*?

Now to be sure what your talking about... We're talking about the outlet fittings from the front PS rack, right? The ports that you connect the lines for the rear rack to?

There are female ports on the rack, that output to two hard lines going to the rear (this is the pressure side...). those two lines use 14 x 1.5 fittings with o rings on the formed line tip. They are not standard flares like brake lines.

Where those two hard lines join the hoses going to the rear (they change to hard lines a foot later...) are standard inverted flare fittings (14 x 1.5 thread again) that are like brake lines. I don't know what angle that is exactly.

Is it similar to an 0-ring port, with metric threads?
I haven't seen it personally. From his description, I made him two "caps" from M14x1.5 nuts with a 3/32" slice of round stock welded to the end. I then punched out an 1/8" thick round piece of vulcanized rubber to fit down inside of the "cap" to create the seal.
So what your saying is, he needs a M14x1.5 plug (or a bolt) with an o-ring for the rack.

If this is the case, Ryan, you'll now owe me two (2) 6ers of Burning River... And I want to see the fitting on the rack first. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

you need to block off all four of the lines to the rear, do not loop them.

^ The low pressure, return lines can be looped (the bottom two lines comming from the p/s reservior) or blocked off. It's your choice.

The high pressure lines must be blocked off (the lines comming from the steering rack).
