NT throttlre body

Are there any advantages to a non-turbo throttle body besides eliminating a gasket at the TB elbow?

I like it because you don't have to get a custom TB elbow/HKS elbow. Yes you can use a 2g TB elbow, but I don't really like them. Just stick a 2.5" 45/90 degree coupler on the TB, the other end to your IC pipe. Nice and simple.

N/T tb is actually more like 2.75" and tapers down smoothly to the bore of the manifold. It's much less restrictive than either a 1G or a 2G tb elbow and is more accommodating when it comes to I/C installations. The downside is that it was never designed for boost so the shaft seals tend to blow at after a while. This can be fixed by installing turbo shaft seals but that requires some machining. It's pretty simple but a little bit of a hassle if you're looking for a bolt in fix.
