Welcome, but these cars are not DSMs. The GVR4 can be reliable if you keep up on the maintenance, if you don't then you will start running into problems down the road.

My 2g gst has been fairly reliable, and from what I can tell the previous owner took good care of it. Just like any other vehicle, if it has been abused and neglected, it will likely give you problems.

Then go to the way bottom and read Hertz's page.

Now that is said and done.
:clear's throat:

Welcome, glad to have you here and more importantly thank you for picking up/saving another Vr4. They are great cars, always maintenance before mods. Check, recheck and check again. As long as your maintenance is in order your car will drive fine.

We are not DSMs we are MMCs but share the same basic concepts besides 4 doors.

Congrats on the purchase post some pics, submit your VIN to Iceman so he can save it in the registry.

Another GVR4 in Phoenix? OMGHI2U.

Is it 1082? If so, you'll have to bring it to In-N-Out* next month. It's had at least three owners since summer 2009 and, in a strange turn of events, one of them actually improved it! Was repainted a dark blue and first showed up on Cragislist around Barrett-Jackson time 2010. Anyway, considering I pretty much resurrected that sucker from the grave, I'd be keen on seeing it again.

Local DSM crowd has been meeting at In-N-Out in Chandler (east of I-10 on the north side of Ray, Lowes parking lot) the second Thursday night of every months for years now. It's still mostly DSMs, but there's always something different there; big block Corvairs, Altezzas (the cars, not the lights), Supras, the occasional rat rod. It's a good time. Next meet should be October 13th if I'm not mistaken. Plenty of time to take delivery and clean 'er up.

Depends on the night. Most the time it will only be a few but with more people getting them running there might be more.

If myself, Brian, and Mike show up there will be at least 3. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif

These cars(VR4), and there cheaper, American assembled, Chrysler body'd cousin(DSM) are plenty reliable when taken care of like any 20 year old sports car. And being 2 decades of service, it has alot of resources and info to be had online. Just search
