Need help figuring out which connector this is???

What is the black with yellow striped single pin connector that is connected with the reverse light switch for? This is right by the transmission.

I am almost 100% sure that connector is for the starter solenoid. There should be a female connector with the same color wire that connects to the starter somewhere....

 

Correct me if im wrong but the car wouldnt start with out that wire not connected. Is it possible the wire that connects on the TB its a single wire? A pic may help also.

Correct the car would not start without the wire I previously described. The wire that serves the Idle Switch is bundled in with the ISC Motor wiring and would have had to be modified to be down by the transmission. The starter solenoid wire, however, is found in the exact location he described.

I agree that a picture, if possible, would help a lot in confirming the function of the wire in question.
