are there any stock height springs out there that anyone know's of?
I have heard lowering spring would be bad on stock or non lowering shock/struts?

I just want to replace the stock springs with something that won't blow out the new shock/struts

Anything you replace them with will either be lower than stock or will be stiffer than stock. Even if you get springs that are the same height but stiffer, they will kill the GR-2's. If you go with a straight OEM replacement spring which would be pointless because it's not really any item that wears, maybe if it was from the 50's. They are made to be an OEM replacement strut and nothing more. Though I will agree that they are a nice step above OEM but can't handle aftermarket springs.

MITSU has discontinued half the car, front shock and rear springs or vice versa I don't remember which but can not get them from dealer.

I put 1g AWD springs on my GR2s. they are stiffer, but only slightly, and provide about 1" drop (if you cut 1/2 coil off the fronts).

^^^ I also have the same setup gr-2s and stock awd dsm springs, perfect setup if you just want it to be a little lower but still be kinda cushy like stock. Been running the setup for years. But unlike iceman i never cut the front springs so therfore my car looks like it is sagging in the rear. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

ok thanks .
I am not looking to lower the car. I just want to replace the old springs with new springs and not blow out my suspension in two months.

As I mentioned, springs don't really wear out so if you don't intend to go lower, than just keep the stock springs. It will be a waste of money if you replace OEM springs for others
