That Galant was nice.
The chrome stuff around the windshield and the side windows...
And it has the 2000 V6 with proper 170PS.
But not VR4 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
The turbo isn't 13G.

Well, i know it's not a 9b, or any other B series. It's definitely a G series. I'd venture another guess and say it's a 15g, but there's no way it is larger than that. I would say 14g, but i'm pretty sure that thing died out with the StarQuest era of mitsu cars.

Well, considering how the rest of the car should not exist... your turbos don't seem to exist either! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

MD181852 is the downpipe for the 'right' or front turbo. There is a number cast into the exhaust outlet on the first photo, which appears to be 181851, or MD181851 if it were a part number. But this doesn't seem to exist either.

The 49193-29501 is an identification number for the complete turbo unit. It should be a Mitsubishi turbo based on the 4xxxx number but the massive list of turbos I have access too doesn't even go to 49193!

After a bit more searching I stand corrected. I've found a mention of 49193 on a Suzuki Alto website. 49193-25302 is listed between the TF035 (49135-03110) and the TF035H (49495-60701). It kind of looks like your turbo...

Can only guess the light sensor is for automatic headlight activation?

This car is full of mysteries!

the light sensor is on the production model, it basically just makes sure the clock/climate control don't dim when it's daylight and you have your headlights on.

Yeah!
Thats useful!
Thanks, one checked!
Next question: the clutch pedal is too easy to operate, and sometimes it pushes itself in, because of the huge amount of "servo" power. All clutch assembly is new. The easy operation is not a big problem, but sometimes I find the pedal pressed, when I get in the car. It may become dangeorus, when it go in while driving...

Hi everybody.
I got new pics about the E74A engine.
The conrod bearings have some wear, but the crank and the cylinder heads are beutiful. The block has a minor scratch in the 3. cylinder.
Check them out.
The car in the last two pictures is my new ride. I just bought it to sale one of the VR4 engines that I have in its engine bay. E88A, 2500cc V6 DOHC 6G73 4WD 4WS, it is the same as E84A except the engine.

I love buried speedo's... Cracks me up how much manufacturers underestimate their cars.

In Japan at the time it was a regulation to have a speedo not exceeding 180km/h.

late 80s/early 90s I would assume. I know Hondas always seemed to have them in the 80s but I notice the early 90s Hondas don't so perhaps it was before then.

I know the early model VR-4s did, you could hear the ding-dong chime in the cheesy 1987 promo video.
