changing the damn alternator

I get to remove the wastegate everytime my alt needs changed, amongst other things. Thankfully, that's not very often.

You are just too good then /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif You know how it is the first time you pull something, you spend a third of the time figuring out the correct approach.

 

Yeah I'm sure theres plenty of people on here including myself that could perform the job blindfolded....but I still remember my first time lol. The first part I ever put on a car besides brakes was an alternator on my 90 laser a/t n/a. I had to ask for help myself.

Deez it took me all day to do my first one. Just when I started doing the job faster, Bamm alt relocater kit! Conrad had to put it on, I got frustrated, Its just really tight under there.

I was noticing how small the wire is for the alternator to the battery.....anyone put a bigger one on and notice a difference?

I would love to. Maybe I will look into it after I paint the bay and before I drop the heart back in.
