I still say those fronts could be Koni inserts, seeing as the rears are Konis.
The only way to get Konis for the front on a 1g has been to buy the Koni insert. You would then take some old worn KYB front struts, cut open the shock case, remove the insert and replace it with the Koni insert. It would look like a KYB because of the outer case body, but internally, it would be a Koni. I had them on my 1g.I think you're correct. I did some searching and found someone on an mr2 forum running a similar setup that looks near identical. Thank you
