what tools do you guys use to do it? and How long does it take usually?

are you talking about the axle boot seal?? if so this is the only tool you need Kent Moore Drive Axle Boot Seal Clamp J-34773

Pull your axles out and you can dig the old seals out with a screw driver or a pick of some kind. Clean everything up real good and when you put the new ones in run your finger in rvt and put it on the outside of the new seal so it slides right into place. Shouldn't need any special tools, at least i never have needed them.

Is there a stop for the seal?? Or how far do I put it into the trans?

Also, I like to use some assembly grease on the part of the seal the axle will be contacting. Helps it mate for the first time and not damage anything.

^ Good add on. you dont want to rip that new seal before you get the whole shaft in... I have done that before.
