Are most mechanical parts interchangeable between a 1991 vr4 and the 1g dsm?

Since your question was vague and you didn't search at all, I will simply say yes.

 

The gvr4 body is wider and slightly longer I believe. I'm assuming the drive shaft would be different. But yes most mechanical parts are interchangeable.

One section of the driveshaft is longer. Engine harness is different but very similar. AC bracket and tensioner are different. Front motor mount bracket is different. Intercooler and piping obviously are different. Top hats are different and springs are a different length. VR4 has 4 lug hubs, Radiators are different. Rear suspension is different due to 4WS but can be interchanged. VR4 power steering reservoir is different.

Most other parts are interchangeable.

1g dsm was built based off the 6th gen galant, so yes some interchangeability. VR4s also have 2piston front brake calipers, 1g DSMs did not till '93.
