1g parking cable in 89 galant

Hey guys, I picked up an 89 fwd that needs a parking cable.

Can I use one from a 1g fwd or even awd???

I don't know if they are the same but the eclipse cable does work..I swapped mine out of my eclipse a few years ago. I don't remember if there is a difference in the awd and fwd though
