I agree, Anytime the belt slips this bad or rips you will most likeley have to rebuild the head at a minumum. Anytime you buy a car and want to use it as a daily driver you should have all the timing components replaced.

I agree with the Harness. Use the original and add the needed wires. Much easier. Ive used a Galant GS harness for my last turbo swap.

I agree with the use of the DSM ecu from expeerience.I had a 90 Galant GS 5spd NT 4g63 with a bad ecu. I swapped in a DSM ecu with the same motor tranny -year specs and it ran fine. You do need to swap the rear part of the case so you can mount it in your Galant since the dsm ecus are...

From experience with a used motor, you should replace the timing belt. Mine ripped after a few thousand miles on my Used jap motor. first replace the oil, then While you have the timing belt off connect a drill to the oil pump and just let it spin at high RPM for a few minutes just to be sure...
