I'm not 100% sure on the Galants, but DSM's had a dealer recall. I would think that that recall would extend to Galant's, sense they use the same parts.Check with your local dealer to see if the car has a recall and if so, if it has been done yet.

I'm asking about the gears as we speak.The core support isn't something that can be ditched...it holds the front of the car together. You can also call it a radiator support. I know it can be changed....but it isn't that easy.Like I said I'm trying to get an outside prospective.

It may be easier to get a wiring harness instead of modifying yours.

I agree with all comments so far. If you have a compression tester, it only takes a few min to check the compression. If it's 121 or lower....then it fails. Your looking for 164 psi or better.While you got the plugs out, check that they are good and firing and double check the gap.

I actually had the correct bracket for the front motor mount. I changed this bracket, and had the motor in, in less than 15 minutes!I compaired the two brackets, and there is a HUDGE difference!
