    Wash the area with soap and water, use a clay bar to pick up bigger particles while the area is wet, than buff area with a compound, repeat clay bar motion if necessary, then wax to shine. You should get the result of what you are looking for. Minus the exposing mounting holes.

    The Absorber is the most absorbent, non stick to the paint shammy that you will ever use. It is also durable and if taken care of will last you a great deal of time. To make it simple it is just freakin awsome. I love this dam thing, money well spent +1 for the Absorber.
