1. Greetings and Help for a Newb :P

You seem like an entitled millennial that doesn't want to research how to solve a problem. Everything has been done and re-done on a DSM, so did you even attempt to solve your problem first? The information is all out there already and it just requires someone taking the time to search for it...
2. WTB: VR4 fan harness

Hi G,Didn't see this until now, but if you could check that would be great.
3. WTB: VR4 fan harness

Anyone have one of these?
4. WTB: VR4 fan harness

I am wanting to buy a stock fan harness for a Galant VR4. Talon/Eclipse ones are different and I am looking for a plug n play replacement for mine that was hacked up by a previous owner. Thank you!

7. Car wont start

Bad starter? Does the car turnover at all?
8. low to no oil pressure

I wouldn't bother and would slap it back together with the below list of parts. Do you what helps you sleep at night, but the car is your daily driver and so time is not a luxury you have.Front case complete with oil pump and assorted gaskets Replacement cylinder head Intake cam Head gasket
9. low to no oil pressure

Seizing an intake cam due to lack of oil, mechanical autometer gauge saying low to no oil pressure and oil pressure low light on in car I think are enough to say the engine has oil pressure issues. Just of matter of finding the cause now and $250 sounds high for a used head with no paperwork on...
10. low to no oil pressure

Tear down last night resulted in finding a seized intake cam due to lack of oil in top of the motor. Definitely have an oil pressure issue, which caused the timing to skip so that is next on the list to diagnose. Stay tuned!
11. Time For A Colorado Meet?

Ah, didn't know it was the actual DSMlink chip. Sorry to hear that!
12. This may be a horrible idea but I'm going for it anyway!

Use a wet rag to help cool the metal after each weld to keep it from warping. If you cool down the metal after each weld you should be fine as that is how they weld in quarters that are rusted out.
13. Time For A Colorado Meet?

Why not send your ECU to Bert Downing in CODSM as he is local and has fixed several ECU's for me.
14. Time For A Colorado Meet?

Good idea as I didn't realize you had things done at a shop.
15. low to no oil pressure

Can you turn the crank by hand or did it seize. Spun bearings will make your oil pressure jump around like that so drain your oil and check for glitter to know how the bearings are.
16. Time For A Colorado Meet?

That is some serious suckage Brian! Do you know if your motor has balance shafts or not? Sorry if I you stated that and I missed it.
17. Any one have Exprence with Jack Transmissions Rebuild Kit

Have had Jacks Transmission rebuilds on both DSM and 3000GT VR-4 transmissions and they all have worked flawlessly. Had one issue where a clutch was dragging due to a customer adjusting his pedal on his own, but can't fix stupid and the car was fine after readjusting the pedal assembly...
18. WTB: Found what I needed, thanks!

I have one that I just had socketed and the caps replaced on it that I would sell for $200 shipped.
19. 1667 got A/C on sunday!!

Quoting DR1665:
#in464 was missing a couple of the hardlines in the engine bay. Since 195 lost the AC in the accident (and because race car), I snagged all the bits I needed from 195, bolted up a compressor, replaced all the o-rings, re-used...
20. The Return of 46/1000

Do those radiators provide adequate cooling for cars that road race or is that a drag only type of setup?Very clean setup on the car BTW!
21. Why you should no longer run a walbro or supra fuel pump.

See it all the time in Colorado in DSM vehicles. Not sure if its a bad refinery in the area or what, but I was curious if Brianawd had it in his Galant if that is the vehicle he runs it E85 in.
22. Why you should no longer run a walbro or supra fuel pump.

BrianawdHave you had any issues with the black gunk on your injectors in that time span? What injector brand? Stock lines? thanks
23. please help!

If your sick of replacing the alternator you could go the Saturn alternator conversion, but eventually you will get one that last a year or so.
24. please help!

First check that your alternator fuse is good in the engine bay. Also make sure the belt is intact on the alternator and that it is tight. If those two are good then you most likely have a bad alternator again. Where did you buy it from as Autozone and similar stores sell junk electric parts for...
25. Why you should no longer run a walbro or supra fuel pump.

I was searching for Galants with 19's to see how it would look and found that thread. 19's on a Galant VR-4 are definitely to big in my opinion, but I think we are getting this thread off in the weeds from the original subject. Feel free to PM me if you need anything else.
26. Why you should no longer run a walbro or supra fuel pump.

Just responding to forum threads that interest me as I catch-up on things in the VR-4 world. If I'm not mistaken this is the very point of having a forum to share a common interest.
27. Some update on my car

I didn't like them on the galant, but they look good on the evo. I think your first picture with 17's looks good though.
28. Pulled head and found some suprises

The valves should be fine even with a poor man's water injection, but the machine shop can check them for you.
29. Why you should no longer run a walbro or supra fuel pump.

I will be using a Bosch 044 in my car
30. Fuel tank pressure

It's really not a danger as far as igniting if that is your concern, but you could always reroute it or just put a vent filter on the tank and remove the line.
31. so ive had my car for sale.

I love my 1995 F250 Powerstroke, but if you want top-end get a crotch rocket. lol
32. What turned up in the mail today?

Those badges look nice
33. Six Bolt Crankwalk!

I don't see why main studs would cause the main caps to mis-align and crank walk is a symptom of oil starvation not mis-aligned caps
34. Unfortunately, I have an ASC sunroof.

If anyone wants to upgrade to a newer model ASC spoiler type sunroof I have one brand new as I never could commit to cutting my roof to install it. $200 + shipping
35. cyclone intake question

I will be using coil on plug to avoid this issue
36. Manifold just got in!

Looks great and nice wrap job
37. Would you trust these welds?

The weld will be fine and pretty welds are not always strong welds just for future reference
38. After 3 years Home sweet home! NEW PICS 07/08/11

Your car looks sick and very clean. Might I suggest some window tint to finish it off
39. Help! New Clutch-No Fans

Are you sure its getting hot enough to turn the fans on. Go drive it around and watch your temp gauge.
40. Clutch fork upgrade

The fork looks basically the same, however the part that breaks on the early version if much thicker. I believe its right after where the pivot ball attaches!
41. FS: Cyclone Gasket Kits

Anybody know the part numbers for these for future reference?
42. FMIC = Lean and Knock......... on E85?!

Sounds like phantom knock, but your tune is definitely off regardless.
43. Nile Black w/ Evo MR Wheels

Those wheels look great on the Galant
44. The build of 449/2000 updated 7/23/11

Your alive bud so that is all that matters when things like this happen
45. WTB: stock 14b turbo and downpipe

I have my stock 14B turbo for $150 + shipping. I don't remember it having any shaft play, but I will verify that tonight.
46. Leaky turbo

I will have to check my fp3065 as I never knew this could be an issue, but I do know the last boost leak test I did only leak at the throttlebody seals a little.
47. two-tone?

GMC Typhoons have some two-tone combos that are similar if you are trying to get an idea of how the colors might look on a vehicle. The Green with gray ground effects would look better than black in my opinion.
48. Idle Issue, Please Help

Are all the coils in your ISC good because if a few are bad your ISC will not control the idle properly. A DSM member of codsm.org rebuilds them if you find yours to be bad and want it rebuilt. He has done a few for me and also does ECU repairs.
49. Clutch fork upgrade

I have a machined clutch fork, but haven't checked the clearance yet to see if it will need machined to clear my twin disc. If anyone needs the stronger OEM version over the older weaker ones I believe I have a few laying around.
