Newby to the Galant VR4 world. Old DSM soul. My VR4 is my 6th DSM. It all started in 01 with my 90 laser front drive turbo.

Hi all, long time admirer of the galant and now the (sort of) proud owner of this abomination from the UK! As you can tell, first drive didn't go to swimmingly with the heater core deciding it didnt need to be watertight anymore.

Why abomination? Well history on it is a little sparse, but it's originally an E33 Eterna that has had a full VR4 drivetrain swapped into it with a surprising amount of care. Picked up dirt cheap over here in the UK knowing full well it was in full rebuild territory, which is now currently underway with the amazing guys over at AP Tuning.

Transitioning from full time lurker here to member to hopefully track down some more unusual parts as well as for the fantastic knowledge you all posses!

Hello Alejandro, what country are you from? I also own a Galant Super Saloon front wheel drive for daily use. and 2 galant vr4.

greetings from Argentina
From Venezuela, friend. The base model is a good car but the VR4 is king. In my country i know of a couple E39 VR4s imported years ago, idk the current location, owners or production number

I joined looking to find a gvr4 at some point I found this place after I lost our on buying a vr4 and wanted to learn more about them and wanting to own one, once I own one I plan on making a speedy and fun sleeper with it just build a car that you don't see very often and have fun with a good car.

This is my son's 1992 VR4 Galant, 902/1000. It's a work in progress. i have nothing but great memories of this car. It's been in the family since 2002.
my son has medical issues, and i need to get rid of them. I have all the parts and I'm sure it can be put back in order.

Hi. I'm Rhett. I've been in the DSM world since my late 20s, so that's been some time ago..
I started my performance car journey with a Mustang SVO. It was quick car, often beating other 5.0 mustangs and 90's corvettes, but it was never fast.
So I sold it, and bought my first DSM. A 1995 eclipse GSX. I started doing the basic mods. The GSX became a very fast street car, resulting in 11.91s @ 118mph at the drag strip..
Year 2003 showed up, and I wanted the new EVO 8. So I put my deposit down, and a few months later, I was driving 1 of the only 6 cars delivered to my mitsubishi dealership.
The EVO8 was a beautiful car, and it was lightning fast bring completely stock, aside from a K&N and the first 3in stainless steel after market prototype cat back exhaust system on an EVO8. The car went to upstate SC to a well known exhaust system manufacturer, who jigged up the first EVO 8 aftermarket exhaust. The car wasn't even 2 weeks old before I let them have my car for a month. I kept the EVO 8 for a little over a year before having $$$ issues, so I traded it back in to the dealer I purchased it from. Wish I had never done that.

So just ahead 2010, I had never even heard of a Galant VR4 until my cousin told me about the little sleeper grocery getter.. Thats all it took, because I knew how fast the 4G63 turbo cars could be. So I found my first one on a small car lot in Alabama. Me and a buddy grabbed his truck and trailer and made the 6 hour drive to pick it up. That pretty much started my Galant VR4 days. Unfortunately I lost that 1992 VR4 to an arson committed by a mentally ill family member. No insurance on it, so it was a total loss. I ended up finding another 1992 white VR4 soon after, and I still have it to this day. Granted the car has been sitting the last 6 yrs under cover..its been a project car..engine is out and being beefed up with all the good stuff etc. So hopefully it's will be back on the road by the end of summer..
