This past weekend me and some friends took a trip over to the northern Seattle area to go and pick up this car from Tim aka raptorwagon. From what I know and can see, this car has been on the forums since the mid 2000s in the ownership of Ryan and Pete. She has definitely seen better days (as seen below)

This is what I’ll be working with now, she has really good bones

Tim included mostly every part I’ll need to get her back to her former self. Very excited to get started on this.

update:

The car has been sitting basically untouched since I got it. I had another project I was focusing on in the meantime so that was taking up all the free time I had in the shop. Even with working on that project, this car has been on the forefront of my mind.

The car is missing quite a few major components for the hvac system. It would be extremely difficult to find all these parts to get it squared away. Thankfully one of my good friends has one of the most cracked out 6th gen GSR you’ll ever see begging to be crushed. IMG_7414.jpeg But before that happens I needed to robs its guts.

I was missing damn near everything behind the dash, so I don’t really know exactly what I needed or didn’t so I took everything. I can confidently say I have everything I need to have a fully functioning HVAC system now with AC. Going to be a few more weeks before I get everything put into the car to get it off my storage rack.

Time to get this thing out of my shop, can guarantee it’ll be crushed by the end of the week.

update:

The last few days I’ve been grinding getting this interior stuff all handled and squared away. First things first I got all the hvac stuff torn apart, cleans, and refoamed. IMG_7560.jpeg

After that I got them thrown into the car to make room from my workbench.

Next thing I really needed to do was get the mouse soaked carpet HEAVILY cleaned… it smelled real bad…

IMG_7611.jpeg

Took me a couple hours to get it smelling real good, I’m sure I’ll have to hit it a second time in the future for good measure. After this I was to the point where I’ve done pretty much every other step besides reinstall everything, so that’s what I did

It’s very weird to see a full interior in this car, it’s not once had one in my ownership. Extremely satisfied with how it came out. Plenty of hours of work and it definitely paid off. Next step is to tackle literally everything in the engine bay to get this car running. Next update will probably be a hot minute, with a new born on the way I can’t imagine I’ll have time (or the money) to do what I want to do with the car. For now we will wait and see
