  1. The "Registry"

Might as well note that 167/2000 is gone.
  2. FS: 91' Black Galant VR4 (418/1000) Miami, FL $2500

Nate I have a 20G with 4300 miles on it and I have no use for it since my car is gone. You NEED that!Good luck with her.
  3. metric pipe plugs

Check out McMaster's pressure sealing washer. Might be better than an O-ring, and reusable unlike copper crush washers.
  4. metric pipe plugs

I'm wondering what would stop a straight plug from screwing right on through the hole, into the oil galley. If I were to go with straight threads, I would want to use something like this to block up the hole, just as Mitsubishi did on the 2G head. Similar concept to the fittings on the 90 OFH...
  5. Thread: About to do 120K mile Timing belt change....what else should i change?

Do those engines have the castle plug on the oil pump? It seems like those O-rings always get brittle and start to leak.
  6. Interior trim disassembly question

I just pulled mine out the other day. They seem to go straight down if I remember right, but I couldn't wiggle them out until the dash was loose. Go figure mine are mint, yet when I took the pass front seat out I saw my driveway. Poor car..
  7. Replacement Windshield

Has anybody gotten their windshield replaced in their Galant? I called a few local places that come to you and do the work, but they can't seem to find the glass. Any hints on where to get one would be appreciated.
  8. the build of 806/1000

I watched your car all weekend. Very impressive!
  9. FS: leftover parts from 539.

What are the chances of having the windshield removed in one piece?
  10. Engine will not start

Did you replace the CAS with the timing mark lined up? Might be silly I know, but I have been tinkering with DSMs for 10 years and only learned that the mark existed there months ago.
  11. WTB: rear upper control arms

Quoting 89Patches: FFS I scrapped a mint set today thinking no one would ever want them.Ha, I did the same thing yesterdayAre 92 DSM the same part?
  12. Fixing striped threads in head

I got the same black goo degreeing my cams in recently. Tried assembly lube, oil, cleaning the bolts every single thread.. nothing would stop this goo from showing up. I am hoping that its just a new set of cams and it will stop once its running.
  13. Cleaning up the wiring harness

While installing the a/c in my galant, I found that there are two connectors near the steering reservoir which appear to be the same style as the alternator plug. From what I gathered, the 2 prong alternator plug is still not available brand new and tend to get melted by exhaust heat, so this...
  14. New here, and to the vr4... couple of question

If you remove the 4ws, dont throw any of it away I cant be the only person looking for it, and even if I am I may want to get it from you.
  15. FS: 2 galants are being parted!

Do you have a sunroof glass? A tree fell on my galant over the weekend and will need one if I try to fix it. I would be interested in a shell if you werent so far away..
