  1. The never ending build of 1062.

Mike made 1088 on 44lbs, and runs it up higher on the track. He's been an 8.80 @ 164 I think. Not sure on kevins power, but he's been 8.20s in the fwd, so id say its pretty high also. Probably a lil lower with the auto tho. Pretty sure kevin even runs the perma with regular arp studs also.
  2. The never ending build of 1062.

What headstuds with the felpro? Just saw where you were getting a1s, and thought you might have been using standards. I know Kevin and Mike both have good luck with them is the reason I was asking. This is the first thing I've ever really heard bad about them. Mike blew both kinds of sce...
  3. 2g Auto Swap

It seems like more trouble than its worth. Why the 2g tranny? I know most do it for the billet verter, but even still think the 1g would be a better option. My friend has a 2g auto swap in his gilly and it was a lot of trouble. He lives in cali and fftec did the swap for him, so I'm just...
  4. The never ending build of 1062.

What didn't you you like about the fel pro? Also, what heads studs with the felpro? Just asking because lots of high power people use the fel pro, and I don't recall anybody really using a copper. Most dsm people actually dislike copper.Either way, super sick build. The front end work...
  5. Rebuilding drive shaft. To fill or not to fill

I'm pretty sure window weld is way to hard. I've been using 100% silicone for 12 years now on countless dsms and has always worked great. I without a doubt could see how window weld wouldn't work. if they are wore and sagging I always try to center them or take them off to fill. Don't want...
  6. Old School

That thing is sweet. Jeremy Aberham use to run it on his dsm back in the day. I always wanted one, but the price always steered me clear. Very nice find.
  7. Hawk HP+ Part Number ??

Id list the right part numbers anyways, just for search reference.
  8. Problem with new dealer key?

Thanks for all the replies. Im going to get them to cut me one more, then ill start working with that one. Ill pick up some graphite powder also while im out. Thanks again.
  9. rear brake upgrade

Im confused here. Tce has the rear upgrade, so why does everybody say nobody has one. Its even linked in this thread. I think there was someone else also. I think it was brake man or something of that nature. Think he made full kits also. I remember him having some of the lightest and...
  10. Problem with new dealer key?

Well I went back out and tried it again. Somebody told me to try it both ways, so I gave it a shot. I tried the ignition first both ways, driver door lock both ways, and then the trunk lock both ways with nothing. I for some reason then went back to the ignition just for the hell of it. It...
  11. Problem with new dealer key?

The car was bone stock when I got it. Original key fob and all. I dont think all locks and ignition have been changed. I think its because the dealer cut it just like ace hardware would cut it. Its just an oem key, with a normal average cutting. Ive never had good luck with cut keys. They...
  12. Problem with new dealer key?

I somehow managed to lose my only key for the vr4 while it was down. Im back to working on it now, and cant get it pushed outside to spray off for the wheel being cut and locked. I searched around and found you could buy them new from the dealer. Well I picked one up today, for it to only...
  13. Body Restoration on #931 GVR4

Also, that should be able to be had for under 500 for sure. Make sure you tell them it will only need minimal masking, wax and grease removed, tacked, and sprayed. Even with them doing most of the work, pretty sure its still under 500 around here.
  14. Body Restoration on #931 GVR4

Ive worked in a body shop my whole life, and the car is not that bad. If you did all the body work, prep work, and after paint finishing it should be fine. Just do all the body work and paint prep. If you want it as nice as possible, id put my first line of masking tape on, just leave the...
  15. "Safe" Launching

I originally thought the rs gear boxes were the same as the evo III also, but I think after talking with John that I learned different. Im pretty sure the gears go as follows.Gvr4rs evoIII 1st 2.571 2.750 2nd 1.600 1.684 3rd 1.160 1.160...
