  1. Greetings and Help for a Newb :P

You seem like an entitled millennial that doesn't want to research how to solve a problem. Everything has been done and re-done on a DSM, so did you even attempt to solve your problem first? The information is all out there already and it just requires someone taking the time to search for it...

  8. low to no oil pressure

I wouldn't bother and would slap it back together with the below list of parts. Do you what helps you sleep at night, but the car is your daily driver and so time is not a luxury you have.Front case complete with oil pump and assorted gaskets Replacement cylinder head Intake cam Head gasket
  9. low to no oil pressure

Seizing an intake cam due to lack of oil, mechanical autometer gauge saying low to no oil pressure and oil pressure low light on in car I think are enough to say the engine has oil pressure issues. Just of matter of finding the cause now and $250 sounds high for a used head with no paperwork on...
  10. low to no oil pressure

Tear down last night resulted in finding a seized intake cam due to lack of oil in top of the motor. Definitely have an oil pressure issue, which caused the timing to skip so that is next on the list to diagnose. Stay tuned!
  11. Time For A Colorado Meet?

Ah, didn't know it was the actual DSMlink chip. Sorry to hear that!
  12. This may be a horrible idea but I'm going for it anyway!

Use a wet rag to help cool the metal after each weld to keep it from warping. If you cool down the metal after each weld you should be fine as that is how they weld in quarters that are rusted out.
  13. Time For A Colorado Meet?

Why not send your ECU to Bert Downing in CODSM as he is local and has fixed several ECU's for me.
  14. Time For A Colorado Meet?

Good idea as I didn't realize you had things done at a shop.
