  1. How many PNW GVR4s are up and running?

Checking in. Up and running but needs some attention.
  2. Face Plated gear sets from Liberty Transmission

How much power is the gearbox seeing? I want to go this route but I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger, I'd hate to dump a bunch of money into a a Liberty setup and rip the gears apart a short while after.
  3. GSX_TC's Galant VR4 Build Thread #550/2000 (Samara)

One of my favorite mods to my car was the rear cup holders with the Evo rear seats. $300 for Evo 8 seats in good shape.

The Magnus manifold is THE manifold to have, there is no questioning that. You cannot accomplish with a SMIM that you can with a cast unit.Back to the catch can... I think people often times overlook crank case ventilation, not realizing how much you can benefit from a properly designed setup...

And I remember how you thought my can was a f***ing good idea when I was out in Yakima.

As far as breather systems go, my best result came from running lines from the stock breathers from the VC to a catch can with drop tubes that force the VC pressure to the bottom of the can. I have two outlets at the top in which the air and vapor must travel through baffles and SS mesh to...
  7. The 30R that could

My goals for the car were to build a fun street car. I'm not chasing ETs and trap speeds, I feel like I've accomplished my original goal. After all, you don't build a Galant with a 30R when trying to turn heads and break recordsShift times are an estimate through ECMLink from the time I was...
  8. The 30R that could

I just caught a glimpse of what the ETS GTR did on the dyno earlier this evening. The number is almost unbelievable.
  9. The 30R that could

These runs were made with the tune I put together off the street. Based on how the motor responded to 1* of timing at 5,000RPM, I could probably get a better curve out of it.I really do feel like the bolt on housing is choking it up top and a vband or T3 housing would make the 600hp.556hp...
  10. The 30R that could

The result wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it still did pretty well. Long story short, 571awhp, 495wtq, 40psi around 4,400RPM, peak torque around 5,600RPM.FP says the HTA compressor is good for 40psi, so since I spent the time and money to get the car to where it would support...

How did that Galant do with the 5858 on the dyno?
  12. 786/2000 Build

Its still the same motor with 45k miles on it. This motor has been through a lot, including an injector failure where the injector didn't completely shut off, but went way lean and torched a hole in the cylinder head and put a divot in the block just outside the fire ring. The head was welded...
  13. 786/2000 Build

It might be the broken air vents, they clank around from time to time, but I've learned to tune them out. Thanks for posting up the pictures and video, Andrew.
  14. Cooling ideas anyone?

You will most likely need another fan. I put a pusher on mine when the factory pusher was and wired it to a thermo switch. This is a lot easier if you don't have AC. Throw a 180 thermostat back in it, the car will like it more than the 160.
  15. 786/2000 Build

Soooo... i took the car out for some 1600ft roll racing today. Maxed out my little bolt on 30R at 39psi (doesn't hold that out the top, obviously). Take it with a grain of salt, but it logged 60lb/min today for a moment. I suspected it was time for some new plugs and took a spare set with me. I...
