I did a compression test on my car. From left to right it was 155,148,155,125. After I added a little oil to the low one and waited a bit and it went up to 165.

Can these results be anything other then worn piston rings?

A couple things to consider...

1-Was this done on a running engine. Meaning, has it sat for a long time and not been ran?
2- Did you have the throttle open while doing the test?

If yes to both and oil was able to bring the compression up then yes worn rings are about the only thing that would cause that! If it is rings, make sure you buy a good quality set.

The car had sat for awhile. I got it up to temp and shut it off and ran the test. I guess I could run it longer and double check the low one.

Throttle plate was open.
