Mainly starting a discussion here. What do you do for a spare when you do a 5-lug conversion?
With 855 I initially had 5 wheels of the type I was putting on and had a full size spare as well. Now I have upgraded to different wheels and I acquired a donut spare from a 3g Eclipse so I have a 5-lug spare. I forget what exact size I got so I will check it later. It may not be the perfect diameter since I have larger overall tire diameter than stock with the 225/45/17 tires. That is also part of why I acquired an Eclipse spare, because the new overall diameter is close to the Eclipse stock size. (I am also running an Eclipse speedo gear to correct that issue).
For my new green car, I may run a full size spare again, but it really does impinge on trunk space.
So what have you done? Or do you just buy an AAA membership? I don't. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
