I got some pix of the car from the last auto-x. The car feels good since I made some suspension changes. I am using a different set of wheels too. I thought I needed more tire on the ground. I scored fist in class but I had hoped to be a bit faster. Need to get used to the changes.

The car looks BA with those monster wheels/tires. Good to see GVR4's in action shots at the track too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/applause.gif

The wheel and tire combo on the Galant is just BA!!

Got the Mj rosenfeld look to it! I love how these cars look with those wheels on them.

Care to list the wheel/tire sizes and your camber settings, Mr. Deluise? lol /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Those are actually MJ Rosenfeld's wheels. I borrowed them to make sure everything would fit. The tires are goodyear road race tires 210 compound in a 23.5x10.5x16. Camber is -3.2 front and -1.2 rear.

That looks mean. Just ran an autox in my friends SM Type-R powered EK civic the other weekend because my galant is JSB!

Car looks great!
How were your tires heating? I suppose with that much meat its hard to tell..
I'v run road racing compounds before and they stay too cold and slippery on short courses...

I wish I could run my gvr4 some day, but having a formula car, and 2 miatas its kind of hard to justify.

It's hard to tell. I got tire temps and I was only seeing about 135 deg. But that was after the long drive back to the staging area. I should have had my guy wait for me at the finish. It felt good if I launched hard and just let all 4 spin through first. I had more bite out of the turns which is were I was struggling before. I need to run some more to tell. I am waiting for a fun event so I can swap between those and my kumho's and see which ones are faster. I think the bigger ones would be faster if they were new. The ones I have are a little old. I did pick up 2 seconds between my first and last runs though.

Who needs heat with tires like that!!! Thats pure grip anyway!! A gvr4, with tires like that!! Check the softness!! Straight sticky, icky, icky!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You should try to get a really good picture with the car sitting like that. It would be perfect for the calendar. Truly badass.

oh yea what did you have to do to keep the tires from rubbing?

Jeremy,
Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Car looks great. Hope the setup is working great too. So will those wheels clear the big brake kit?
