AFAIK it only affects the AC by turning it off during an overheat condition, I'm sure you will be aware of an impending overheat before the stupid sensor is. In other words, you should be fine without it.
And some pigtails and other connectors that may be handy. Here Part # CONN-75729 looks pretty close to our thermostat temp sensor plug who wants to order one and give it a try? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
its part of the front harness. Mitsu wants $600 for it or something ridiculous like that. Those connectors are also available on the T/E/L...........ive cut many of these as extras.

I have extra JDM harness. I can bring some new wires & some Pin from the old harness then help you rewire the burned wires. I already did that on my VR4. your plastic pins looks good & can be used again.
Have you talked to bradrs? If there's anybody that will have it, it would probably be him. Also the early to mid 90's elantras and sonatas use the same connector and are usually in better shape under the hood for some reason.
Bradrs *may* have this connector (or it's terminals) in his magic bag of tricks.
He's putting together quite the collection of connectors for these cars. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worthy.gif

I believe those are the same, or at least adaptable (may have to trim a notch). They are different colors (black upper, white or natural lower).
