Hello Guys,

Finally going to start working on the VR4 again /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have done some searching on here, but I wanted to see what brand/company you guys are using when replacing the front lower control arms?

Thanks for the help

Most of us run stock, poly bushings, new ball joints, rattle can, etc... ps, dont just rebuild DSM arm from the J-yard, VR4 arms are rumored to have 1 degree extra caster

I replaced mine with dorman lower control arms. The only ones I could find for a Galant. There is no difference between regular Galant and VR-4, and yes the DSM ones have 1 Deg less caster.

The poly bushings you are using from the DSM? Energy suspension correct?

Thanks

ball-joint is further forward, gives it more caster. i found this out because of a DSM control arm i ran for a bit, caused a nasty pull, even after alignment

I also bought some Dorman control arms for my VR-4, I'm happy with them. I was gonna reuse my stock ones and replace the lower balljoints, but the arms were just junk.

I highly recommend the dorman arms from rockautoparts. They've been great for me and alignment is great. My old arms were rotted at the rear bushing.

Very cheap and very reliable.

Thanks guys for the help. Going to pick up a set dorman arms. Just got to find the time to work on the car again. She has been siting for 4 months /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I installed my Dorman arms this weekend. I bought them from am-autoparts on eBay. They have them for $98.93 for a pair.

The rear bushing needs to be moved back on the mounting stud slightly to line up properly with the bracket.

Other than that they fit great.

Got the Dorman arms in. They look like a really nice pc. Picked them up from Rock Auto. They shipped out very fast.

Thanks guys for all the advice /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
