Today is the start day of the total tear down of # 244/2000. I am removing every part of the car that will not be painted. and am starting the Mods list on the motor /Trans.
I am going to strip the car down to a shell for paint so they paint the whole thing inside and out. I will post progress pics of the car as it is being torn down and painted and the motor build and then reassembled.

I will have before pics up in the next few days and progress pics as it comes along.

So far Body parts I have are as follows.

RS JDM front Bumper.
CF trunk lid
AMG Grill
AMG Smooth Sides
AMG Wing
JDM rear Bumper
Folding mirrors
JDM Vented hood for now( WTB CF STOCK Hood)

I'm having a hard time deciding on the color to paint the car. I am thinking Purple or 3000 gt vr4 pearl white. I think the CF trunk and Hood would look better with the purple but the white is a sweet color to.

Motor and trans mods I have not fully decided on.
I am hoping to talk with the guys when the come down for the meet in the next month.

I am in need of a 4 bolt rear as I will be totally removing the 4WS from the car. and I have a few questions on the ABS removal.

Anyway I will post pics of the car as it progresses.
Thanks for the space
JC

ABS removal is cake. Since you will have it all pulled apart you can pull the huge harness out too.

Kinda hard to when it's attached to the harness. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The sensors in the trunk and center console also can go.

That ought to be a sweet looking ride, Good Luck. I would go with the Pearl White over Purple any-day of the week.

PS-Good luck fixing your JDM GVR4 as well.

ANyway the front clip is pretty much off the car guys/Gals.
I am going to have lots of questions to ask once I get every thing apart. I have had a fun time so-far doing all the tear down.

Ohh and Hertz I now have 4 JDM Vented hoods so maybe if you can get ahold of Pivvey I will sell ya one for 100.00 shipped (shipped means u drive here and we bolt it on at the Iowa meet)

Anyway Back to wrenching, I will get pics up tonight guys.

PS no cuts or smashed fingers yet /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Heres my Issue with the Pearl White guys.
I really like the way CF looked on Sgt Dave's car. I don't care for it on White cars...So I'm thinking of Purple. I like the way that guys car looks Burple or something like that. Plus I like to be different.. EDIT I found it lol

Picture this car with a RS Front bumper and a CF hood and CF Trunk and AMG grill ,Looks like he already has smooth sides.

I agree with you jeremy, the CF will go better on a darker car. This rebuild is going to be sweet! Keep the pics coming and update the thread!

For those of you who havne't seen Jeremy's parts room, this is basically how it went-

He and I were looking for his second set of black 91 tails.
(He's unpacking a box and handing me the following items)
RHD dashboard
Cyclone intake manifold he was trying to give me
AMG side skirts and door cards (all except the one that Jonvr4 won't sell him)
external wastegate bolted to a custom 02 housing
AMG wing (his second one)
AMG grille

It was Galant porn. And a very big box that was still more than half full. Seriously. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jawdrop.gif
