Decided to make my own short shifter. It clears the console by about 1/16-1/8" so no trimming required. Feels very close to as short as the 3kg shifter.

Had some time to tinker with the galant this week and found that my alternator isn't quite putting out the voltage needed. Tested at 13.6v at idle and 12.89v under load. I will eventually Order up a new Bosch unit. But I opted to have fun and replace the voltage regulator. Found out rock auto had a clearance sale for one at $21.50.

Testing after installing I found the voltage at idle is 14.6v and under load is 14.30v
Runs much smoother and the headlights don't dim. I will update if/when it fails.

Started making the O2 housing and finding a location for the Audi wastegate. Not the easyest when the PS and alternator are in the stock location.

So obviously my only hope of keeping up is to stay on the twisty tracks, or just hope you spin off

That is... Sizable. Nice work

so looking at this on my PC and not my phone. i love how the wastegate is going to support it self. like its aimed down, so the recerc dump is bracing it.

also love the audi wastegate, havent seen anyone use one in a LONG ass time.

i should probably read back threw cuz i cant remember now, but what are the specs on the motor and holset?

Yeah I may tack a small brace from flange to flange but I thought the expansion difference may make more stress on the tubing and promote cracking. But I may also run a brace from the WG to the manifold for vibration so it's still in the works.

It's an 8 blade HX35 with the BEP bolt on housing. The engine is a 6 bolt with 2g dsm pistons. Running ARP mains, rods and head studs. Stock cams for now but that will eventually change. EVO 8 exhaust valves, springs and retainers.

Heat wraped and ready to go. Waiting on the oil feed fittings and a resonator.

That looks super nice

Have you ever considered doing a run of seat brackets for our cars?

I picked up a 3000gt vr4 brake setup using slotted and dimpled cobra 13" rotors.

The calipers needed some TLC so I decided to start cleaning and finishing them.

Tig welded the small dimples and started smoothing it all out.

A little paint and they cleaned up nicely.

Found some decals online and thought they fit well.

Looks nice, what was the welding for?

Are those 1g or 2g calipers?

Are the cobra rotors bigger than the 2g 3kgtvr4 rotors?

Where did you get those brackets?
