Had some time to tinker with the galant this week and found that my alternator isn't quite putting out the voltage needed. Tested at 13.6v at idle and 12.89v under load. I will eventually Order up a new Bosch unit. But I opted to have fun and replace the voltage regulator. Found out rock auto had a clearance sale for one at $21.50.
Yeah I may tack a small brace from flange to flange but I thought the expansion difference may make more stress on the tubing and promote cracking. But I may also run a brace from the WG to the manifold for vibration so it's still in the works.
It's an 8 blade HX35 with the BEP bolt on housing. The engine is a 6 bolt with 2g dsm pistons. Running ARP mains, rods and head studs. Stock cams for now but that will eventually change. EVO 8 exhaust valves, springs and retainers.
