Used the galant air can for now. Just wanted some sort of filter while I gather parts for the HX35.

Haha yes it does look sinister doesn't it? After I order the BEP housing I will be removing that silencer
At first I was worried that it may effect performance by removing it. But I have a buddy thats an engineer for daimler and he said it was just designed to make it quieter. He sold me on removing it;)

are you using the bolt-on Mitsubishi flanged housing, or the T3?

im curious for results. and i love the build so far - the effort you've put into this is awesome!

It will be the mitsu housing. It's an 8 blade hx so from what I've read it doesn't have the highest flow for an hx but it's good for lower boost and quicker spool up.
I have plans for 20-25 psi and I'm not shooting for max power. Just usable power on the track. I can't wait for next season to startup.

Thanks guys. I've picked up most of my skills from reading, trial and error and forums like this one. Only thing stopping anyone from doing this is being overwhelmed with the big picture. Break the project you want to take on into sections and it's much more manageable.;)

Getting everything ready to install my oil cooler.
Started with cleaning the housing and taping for the 1/4npt pressure sender. I also turned down two -10 an fittings to weld onto the housing. Drilled the housing out so the fittings will slide in.
